Greetings from the Consul General

Dear friends of Ireland,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Consulate General of Ireland Boston. I hope that you will find the information it contains and links to other resources both useful and enjoyable.

The relationship between Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and Ireland has been forged over many centuries and remains strong and vibrant. Irish Americans in this region have made an incalculable contribution to progress in Ireland most clearly with regard to peace on the island. Your contribution to strengthening the economic cooperation between us is strong and growing stronger to our mutual advantage.

All aspects of Irish culture are manifest and thrive in this region and our music, dance, literature, theatre and languages thrive. When you’ve experienced the fun and richness of Irish culture here, go visit Ireland where you can enjoy the culture even more.
