On behalf of the Embassy in Buenos Aires, I would like to welcome you to our website and hope that you will find it useful.
This Embassy represents Ireland in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay and works to promote cordial relations and foster mutual understanding between the government and people of Ireland and each of these five countries. The Embassy also has consular responsibilities for Ecuador. Our work is made easy by the fact that there is a long tradition of friendship and partnership between our peoples, exemplified in particular by the important Irish community in Argentina, the largest in the non-English speaking world. In recent times, these relations have been enriched by commercial, cultural and educational links, information on which is available in these pages.
The Consulates of Ireland in Santiago (Chile), La Paz (Bolivia) and Quito (Ecuador) are headed by Honorary Consuls who maintain close contact with the Embassy and who assists Irish citizens and others in consular matters.
While the Embassy is located in Buenos Aires, we want to be accessible to all of the Southern Cone, so wherever you are, we are here to assist you with any queries you may have.

The Working Holiday Agreement Visa 2014 is now closed for new applications. Applications sent after this date will not be accepted.
If it is decided to re-open the scheme to new applications, a notification will be placed on the Embassy website.
